Lisette is a commercial and public law barrister
Lisette maintains a broad practice in all areas of commercial and public law.
Commercial Practice
Since coming to the bar, Lisette has advised and appeared in a range of commercial matters, including contract, insurance, Australian Consumer Law, corporate governance, franchising and construction disputes.
Public Law Practice
In her public law practice, Lisette has been briefed in judicial review matters (including ADJR Act and migration proceedings) and complex merits review proceedings (including an ongoing licensing dispute regarding the international export of hazardous waste). Lisette also has particular expertise in land acquisition law.
Previous Experience
Prior to being called to the Bar, Lisette practised as a solicitor:
- at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office (in the Public Law and Planning branch); and
- at Allens (in the Commercial Litigation and Funds, Superannuation and Wealth Management practice groups).
In 2018, Lisette was Associate to the Honourable Justice O’Callaghan of the Federal Court of Australia, assisting his Honour in a wide range of commercial and public law matters.
