Kylie accepts briefs in all areas of summary crime, including contested hearings, bail applications, pleas and all types of mention hearings. She appears in committal proceeding hearings. Kylie also appears in appeals against sentence and conviction.
Kylie has significant experience in all aspects of intervention orders, from first mention to final contest. She represents both Applicants and Respondents.
Kylie is experienced in all stages of Child Protection matters, from protection applications, reserved submissions, conciliation conferences and readiness hearings, to final contest. Kylie advocates on behalf of the DFFH, for the child's right to be safe and protected. Kylie also represents mothers, fathers and children, in the Children's Court, against the power of the state.
Kylie graduated with first-class honours in law from Victoria University. She has lectured and tutored in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, Evidence Law, at VU, ACU and Deakin University.
