Nicholas accepts briefs to appear and advise in a broad range of commercial and public law matters. In particular, Nicholas is experienced in disputes concerning property (including disputes related to owners' corporations and also the sale of land), consumer and trade practices law, insolvency, succession law and contracts.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Nicholas worked as a policy adviser to the Victorian Government. In particular, he advised on regulatory issues affecting small businesses in Victoria. He also previously worked as a consultant with PwC Australia.
Nicholas completed degrees in Arts and in Law at Monash University. He also completed a Master of Laws (LLM) at the London School of Economics, specialising in Corporate & Securities Law. As part of the degree, he completed a dissertation, researching developments in anti-bribery legislation across different common law jurisdictions.
He serves as Secretary of the Professional Standards Board of the Anglican Dioceses of Melbourne, Ballarat, Wangaratta, Adelaide, Willochra and the Murray. In his role as Secretary, he is responsible for managing tribunal proceedings and coordinating hearings.
He is board member of the Richard Wagner Society Inc.
