Justin Carter practises broadly in civil, commercial and public law, with an emphasis on matters involving foreign or international law. He also has extensive experience with customary and indigenous legal systems.
Justin regularly appears as junior counsel with senior counsel. He is also available to advise, to appear in arbitrations, and to sit as an arbitrator.
Justin is particularly knowledgeable about Chinese legal systems. He has acted for numerous Chinese clients in matters involving the law of the PRC, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He holds a LLM in Chinese Business Law from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Justin served as associate to The Hon Justice Patrick Keane, then of the Queensland Court of Appeal, and as legal associate to The Hon Justices Graham Bell and James Barry of the Family Court of Australia.
