Bill accepts briefs in commercial matters, with a particular focus on disputes concerning major public infrastructure projects, owners corporations matters, insolvency disputes, water ingress and misleading or deceptive conduct. Bill is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator, again with a focus on construction and infrastructure disputes.
Prior to the joining the bar, Bill was an associate to the Honourable Justice Sloss of the Supreme Court of Victoria, and a solicitor at MolinoCahill Lawyers.
Bill's experience extends to all manner of construction related disputes, including disputes concerning defects, latent conditions, extensions of time, variation works, claims under s 16 of the Water Act 1989, termination, protection works, and security of payment legislation.
In addition, Bill has experience advising and acting for insurers, in respect to both insurance coverage and potential recovery proceedings.

- advising owners corporations, architects and builders in relation to proceedings concerning the installation of flammable cladding on multi-storey buildings;
- proceedings before B A Shnookal QC (as a court appointed Special Referee) involving allegations of defective works related to the construction of a water treatment plant (led by Jeff Gleeson KC, Rob Craig KC; and Roman Rozenberg);

- proceedings involving alleged misappropriations of funds by an owners corporation manager (ongoing) (led by Liam Connolly);
- advising and appearing on behalf of insurers in relation to subrogated claims against builders, building surveyors, owners corporations managers and other subcontractors; and
- disputes concerning defective works (ranging from small domestic building disputes to large, multi-unit, property developments), termination, entitlement to payment, variations and reviews of insurance decisions before the VCAT.
