Daniel practises across all areas of commercial law, with a focus on regulatory and competition and consumer law. He is recognised in Doyle's Guide as one of Australia's leading competition law junior counsel, in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific Guide to the Australian Bar as a leading competition law junior counsel and in Who's Who Legal - Australia and New Zealand for his expertise in competition law.
Prior to coming to the bar, Daniel was a partner in the Competition and Regulatory team at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he regularly advised clients in relation to the application of the Australian Consumer Law and the Competition and Consumer Act.
Since coming to the bar, Daniel has represented clients in a range of commercial matters in various courts and tribunals, including before the Supreme Court, Federal Court and Australian Competition Tribunal. He has also been briefed to appear in examinations under s155 of the Competition and Consumer Act and s19 of the ASIC Act, acting both for the regulator and for examinees. He regularly advises clients in relation to competition and regulatory matters.
