Angus Galbraith practices in employment law/industrial relations and commercial disputes.
Angus accepts briefs to provide advice, draw documents and appear in matters involving all aspects of employment law and industrial relations. He has extensive experience in disputes concerning terminations of employment, alleged contraventions of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and industrial instruments, redundancy, labour hire and the enforcement of restraints of trade and confidentiality obligations.
Angus’s commercial disputes practice involves matters concerning breach of contract, loans and financial accommodations, the recovery of money owing for the provision of goods and services including under guarantees, and related consumer law and trade practices issues.
Angus has been briefed to conduct independent investigations in relation to prominent religious, research and educational institutions and under the Child Wellbeing and Safety Act 2005 (Vic).
Angus regularly represents clients in mediations and conciliations, and appears in matters interstate including in Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania.
