Lynda's legal career began in 1990 after she completed Articles of Clerkship with the Legal Aid Commission of Victoria (now VLA). Following that, she worked as a solicitor for the Tenants Union of Victoria and then St Kilda Legal Service, before taking up a teaching position in the Justice Studies course at Victoria University where she taught Law for Youth Workers, Criminal Law and Human Rights. She has also taught Mediation Skills at RMIT, and Evidence at Kangan Institute.
Throughout her career, Lynda has maintained a strong interest in the rights of children and young people, and the focus of her practice since coming to the Bar has been the Children's Court (Criminal and Family Divisions) and associated appeal jurisdictions. Lynda is also a trained mediator.
