Brett accepts briefs in all criminal, and quasi-criminal, matters as well as civil proceedings such as Intervention Orders and Victims of Crime.
Brett came to the Bar with seven years’ experience as a solicitor advocate which ranged from simple road/traffic-related offences through to difficult Mental Impairment trials and more serious offences such as rape, commercial drug trafficking and murder. Possessing a degree in Accounting, Brett has also dealt with complex fraud and dishonesty offences.
Now at the Bar, Brett has continued to develop his advocacy skills by appearing extensively in the Magistrates’ and County Courts in relation to pleas, bail, contested hearings, committals and trials, and also in the Supreme Court in relation to Bail applications.
Brett has been granted an Indictable Crime Certificate from the Victorian Bar.
