Emma practices in general commercial litigation, in addition to property and employment-related disputes. Her practice comprises significant litigation in the Federal and Supreme Courts. Emma also has experience in Royal Commission work.
Emma's practice is varied and covers areas of law such as contract, consumer protection, restraint of trade (commercial and employment), security enforcement, property (leasing, sale of land, estate agents, restitution and compulsory acquisition/land valuation), construction and discrimination.
Before joining the Bar, Emma was a Senior Associate in the Commercial Disputes Group at Minter Ellison. At Minter Ellison, she acted for major corporates in large-scale litigation, including for Crown Melbourne Limited in the high-profile claim brought by alleged pathological gambler, Harry Kakavas, and acting for the ANZ following the collapse of Opes Prime Group Limited.
In 2002, Emma was Associate to Justice Kenny of the Federal Court.
