Darren appears and advises in all areas of commercial, insurance, corporations and contract law. He is committed to working collaboratively with clients to understand their interests and motivations in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

Darren is an accredited mediator. He accepts briefs to appear as a mediator in matters pertaining to commercial disputes and insurance matters (including common law and professional indemnity/negligence disputes). Darren’s mediation style is facilitative, though he brings his subject-matter knowledge to those disputes.
Darren welcomes being briefed directly by corporations to advise on both contentious and uncontentious matters and will consider fixed fee or capped fee billing arrangements in appropriate cases.
Adjacent to his practice at the Bar, Darren is currently the President of the Australian Insurance Law Association. He is also a member of International Cycling Executives (ICE) and regularly rides with the ‘Knights of Suburbia’.
He holds a Masters in Law from the University of Melbourne and is a sessional teaching associate at Monash University. He has taught in contracts, corporations law, litigation and dispute resolution. He is currently teaching Evidence.
