Tony Lang practises in commercial, administrative and local government law.
He has particular expertise in the law of not-for-profit organisations (including companies limited by guarantee, incorporated and unincorporated associations, co-operatives and charitable trusts), governance, meetings and elections.
Tony is the author of Horsley's Meetings: Procedure, Law and Practice (7th ed, LexisNexis 2015).
He was a member of the Board of the Victorian Council of Social Service from 1998 to 2018, and is now a life member of VCOSS.
In 2010, the Victorian Government retained Tony to write the first draft of the new Model Rules for the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012.
From 2013 to 2016, Tony was appointed by the Commonwealth Government as an inaugural member of the Advisory Board for the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
