- I was employed as Assistant to Professor W.T. Cornish doing research work in the intellectual property area. This work included keeping the Institute up to date on recent Common Law intellectual property cases, assisting Professor Cornish and various members of the Institute with research work and doing individual research work. A number of publications resulted out of this work, including publications in the European Intellectual Property Review, the Max Planck Institute Grur International Journal and the IIC Journal.

- My practice involves a specialisation in all aspects of intellectual property matters and trade practices matters together with general commercial litigation. My intellectual property work involves:
- large patent and trade mark litigation;
- complex copyright litigation including matters involving computer copyright.
- Additionally I am involved in undertaking significant information technology work including internet and domain related litigation, telecommunications work and litigation advice relating to complex technology.
- My trade practices work includes both Part IV and Part V work together with significant amounts of advice work in relation to these and other parts of the Trade Practices Act.
- I also have and continue to be involved in a number of cases involving breach of confidential information and common law passing off.
- I have also acted as Counsel in a number of cases involving industrial designs.
- I have also acted in a number of franchising matters involving various industries including significant matters involving the telecommunications industry.
