Since coming to the Bar in 1987 Russell has developed an advice and trial practice, predominantly in the areas of contract and property law, banking and finance, trade practices, partnership and shareholder disputes, trust disputes, insolvency including bankruptcy, corporations law, professional negligence and workplace relations disputes including breach of employment agreements and breach of confidence. Russell is also briefed to advise and appear in the Family Court of Australia on contested property disputes
