Jamie acts across a broad spectrum of commercial law with a particular interest in construction, insurance, and bankruptcy/insolvency law. He appears and advises on a wide range of civil disputes, including:
- multi-party building disputes;
- domestic building actions;
- owners corporation disputes and Water Act 1989 (Vic) claims;
- insurance indemnity disputes; and
- general commercial matters including contractual disputes and debt recovery and enforcement (including wind-up applications).
Jamie is a versatile advocate and is experienced acting for clients, both private and institutional, in the Federal Court and all levels of Victorian Courts and Tribunals.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Jamie worked as a solicitor for 7 years in the corporate recoveries, commercial disputes and the insurance practices at national firms. Jamie also worked regionally at a small boutique firm in commerical litigation.
