Chadwick practises primarily in public law, commercial and regulatory law, and white-collar crime. He has particular interests in regulatory investigations and inquiries, international law and anti-discrimination.
Before coming to the Bar, Chadwick had a broad career spanning the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. He was most recently General Counsel at Grata Fund, a public interest litigation funder. Previous roles have included Acting Principal Solicitor and Senior Solicitor at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre, Associate at Allens working on regulatory investigations and disputes, and Adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, advising on public law and policy, including in national security.
Chadwick was also Associate to the Hon Justice Mortimer, now Chief Justice of the Federal Court.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Relations from the University of Sydney. He also has a Master of Laws specialising in International Law (with Distinction) from the Australian National University
