Haley Aprile has significant expertise in regulatory, commercial and public law.
Haley has a broad commercial law practice, with a particular interest in regulatory investigations and ‘white collar’ and corporate crime, corruption matters, and commissions and inquiries. She has appeared in a range of matters in various state courts and the Federal Court, including in:
- insolvency and corporations matters;
- confiscation and proceeds of crime matters;
- contractual and shareholder disputes; and
- regulatory investigations.
Prior to joining the Bar, Haley was a senior lawyer at a top tier national law firm, where she regularly appeared in Court and worked on a range of matters, including:
- complex commercial disputes;
- insolvency and corporations matters;
- fraud and ‘knowing receipt’ matters;
- regulatory investigations, including ASIC and IBAC matters; and
- public inquiries, including the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry.
Haley is currently undertaking a Masters of Laws at the University of Melbourne.
