Hannah has a broad trial and appellate practice in public, commercial and criminal law.
She appears and advises in a diverse range of matters in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court, VCAT, the AAT and intermediate appellate courts, both led and unled. She has appeared led in the High Court of Australia. Hannah has particular interests in regulatory matters, human rights and discrimination law, corporate crime, torts and inquests, inquiries and commissions. She has extensive appellate exerience and accepts briefs in appeals in all areas of law.
Before coming to the Bar, Hannah was an associate to the Hon Justice Gageler AC (now Chief Justice) at the High Court of Australia. She was previously a Senior Lawyer in the Appeals team at Victoria Legal Aid and an associate to the Hon Justice White in the Federal Court of Australia.
Hannah holds an LLM from Columbia Law School, where she was named a James Kent Scholar, and an LLB with first class honours from the University of Adelaide. She received academic awards and placed first in five subjects.
