Morgana Brady practises in commercial and public law.
Morgana advises and appears for a wide variety of clients, including publicly listed corporations and private companies as well as State and Commonwealth government agencies and statutory authorities.
In her commercial practice, Morgana represents clients in a broad range of disputes, including contractual disputes, tort litigation, and insurance-related matters. In her regulatory and public law practice, she has been briefed for the State of Victoria, various State government agencies, ASIC and corporate entities. Morgana appeared for the Legal Services Board in Victorian Legal Services Board v Gobbo [2020] VSC 692 (led by Elizabeth Bennett) and was briefed in the Royal Commission into the Casino Operator and Licence (led by Peter Hanks QC and Frances Gordon). Morgana is also regularly briefed to advise commercial and government clients on commercial, public, and administrative law issues.
Morgana is admitted to practice in Victoria, England & Wales, and Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from La Trobe University and was awarded several academic prizes, including the Dean’s Medal in Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Morgana was a senior associate at Allens and Baker McKenzie (Hong Kong), specialising in insurance and re-insurance disputes, high-profile tort litigation, cross-border contractual and banking disputes, and international arbitrations. She was also associate to the Honourable Justice Chernov in the Victorian Court of Appeal.
