Lynton Hogan practises in commercial and civil litigation, with particular expertise and experience in banking and finance, regulatory and corporations matters.
He accepts briefs to advise or appear in matters relating to banking, contract, corporations, equity, insolvency and consumer law, as well as actions in disciplinary tribunals.
He has appeared both led and unled in the principal Federal and Victorian courts and administrative tribunals and has acted for individuals, bodies corporate and regulators, including for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission at the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. He has also appeared in arbitral proceedings in the financial services sector.
Before coming to the bar, Lynton was a senior associate at King & Wood Mallesons, where he worked for over 8 years. He gained expertise and experience in an array of commercial and major financing transactions across a variety of industry sectors including infrastructure, energy and resources and financial services.
