Prior to coming to the Bar, Glenys was a Registered Trade Marks Attorney and a Workplace Relations Specialist. She was also a member of the Law Institute of Victoria Workplace Relations Specialisation Advisory Committee. Glenys has extensive experience in all aspects of employment law including • Drafting and advising on Employment Contracts, Executive Service Agreements, AWAs, collective agreements, contractors agreements and workplace policies.• Advising about performance management of employees and termination issues, managing workplace change and redundancies, restraint of trade obligations and business restructure issues• Acting in unfair and unlawful termination proceedings under federal and state workplace legislation.• Defending WorkCover prosecutions and advising on WorkCover investigations• Acting in discrimination or harassment complaints to the Equal Opportunity Commission and Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission• Advising on workplace safety and OH & S programs• Advising and conducting litigation in relation to Corporations Act issuesGlenys also has extensive experience in intellectual property matters. Her work involved dealing with licensing issues, providing advice and conducting litigation in trade marks, copyright, designs, patents, plant breeders rights, confidential information and information technology.
