Dylan specialises in criminal, quasi-criminal, and intervention order matters, and also has experience in regulatory proceedings and inquests.
Dylan commenced his legal career practising as a solicitor in a busy criminal defence firm. In this role he gained courtroom experience, appearing in various court settings, including the Magistrates' and Children's Courts.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Dylan was an Associate to Her Honour Judge Nola Karapanagiotidis at the County Court of Victoria. Whilst working at the Court, Dylan gained valuable experience and insights into the running of County Court trials, pleas, and appeals, and other administrative hearings. He also undertook high-level research and writing tasks.
Dylan also lectures at the University of Melbourne in Criminal Law and Procedure and is completing his Master of Laws at the Australian National University.
Dylan has an interest in refugee and human rights law and volunteers at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
