Sexual Harassment Awareness Training

The Victorian Bar is conducting a sexual harassment awareness training course for all barristers over 10 years’ call.

This course is different to the Leadership CPD held in October 2021 and completion of this training course is a prerequisite for Senior Counsel applicants, as prescribed by the Supreme Court of Victoria. Priority will be given to members who have applied for silk in the current year.

These training sessions will be limited to 40 attendees per session.

The structure of the course will be as follows:

• Presentation by the Victorian Bar President
• Presentation by a panel of Senior Counsel
• Hypothetical examples
• Open session for general discussion

Compulsory pre-reading materials will be provided to all attendees.

Places for the course are strictly limited and registrations will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
