Notice of the Election for the 2023-2024 Bar Council

The 2023-2024 Victorian Bar Council election and nominations process will be conducted online.
Please note that the Victorian Bar has engaged Vero Voting to conduct the nominations and the voting processes therefore the nominations process will be different from previous years.
Detailed instructions on the nominations process will be provided to members prior to the nominations period.
The timetable for this year’s election is as follows:
| Opening of nominations period | 9:00am, Friday, 13 October 2023 |
| Close of nominations period | 5:00pm, Thursday, 26 October 2023 |
| Voting opens | 9:00am, Wednesday, 1 November 2023 |
| Voting closes | 5:00pm, Wednesday, 8 November 2023 |
| Declaration of the Poll | 5:00pm, Thursday, 9 November 2023 |
Information regarding the nominations process will be published on the website and emailed to members on Wednesday, 11 October 2023. Conditions of eligibility to nominate and to be nominated are prescribed by clauses 45 and 48 of the Constitution of the Victorian Bar Inc.
