Media Release – Victorian Bar response to COVID-19

Wendy Harris QC, President of the Victorian Bar, issued this statement today, Monday 16 March 2020:
“The Victorian Bar is committed to assisting the government and the courts in responding to and managing the effects of COVID-19 in the community.
“The Bar is closely monitoring the situation and following government guidelines. We are also enhancing our capabilities so that the members of the Victorian Bar can continue to provide essential support and advice, assist clients and those who need our help in the community, and ensure, as far possible, the continued and smooth administration of justice.”
