The Changing Face of the Bar

The Victorian Bar takes great pleasure in inviting you to a briefing on the results of the most comprehensive demographic survey of our Bar ever conducted.

President, Dr Matt Collins QC will be presenting the survey results which provide great insight into the changing face of our Bar. The survey includes:

• data on gender and diversity at the Bar;
• our participation in and support of gender equitable briefing;
• the Bar’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, including the launch of updated policies on sexual harassment, discrimination and workplace bullying;
• the Bar’s ongoing commitment to the provision of pro bono legal services;
• the changing landscape of the market in respect of barristers’ work; and
• the challenges and opportunities we are facing.
