Serious injury cases in child protection: A medico-legal perspective from the Victorian Forensic Paediatric Medical Service

The Children’s Court Bar Association is pleased to present Dr. Anne Smith, Director, Victorian Forensic Paediatric Medical Service at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne. Dr. Smith will discuss the role of the VFPMS in serious injury cases, the interaction between VFPMS, DFFH, legal practitioners and the Court, and important recent cases on the forming of medico-legal opinions.
