Ethics Update

Members of the Ethics Committee will address a variety of topics including: the duty not to mislead the Court by omission; junior counsel's independent duty to the Court; devilling; Family Law Act s 102NA retainers; when confidential information may be disclosed without the client's consent; the position of barristers who are former Judges' associates; and when a brief may be returned for non-payment of fees.
