Equal Opportunity and the Law: LGBTIQ Developments and where to from here?

The LGBTIQ Working Group of the Victorian Bar’s Equality & Diversity Committee is proud to present a CPD session on current issues affecting the LGBTIQ community, including proposed reform to the Equal Opportunity Act, protection from vilification and medical treatment issues since Re Kelvin [2017] FamCA 78.

The session will be presented by the CEO of Equality Australia, Anna Brown OAM and Maddison Harrington, Solicitor at Gilchrist Connell. Equality Australia is a leading national organisation committed to law reform and policy development for the improvement of the wellbeing and circumstances of LGBTIQ+ people in Australia and their families.
