eCourts In Brief – the future of the Supreme Court

11Nov2019

RSVP ESSENTIAL - Places are limited. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

Over the last four years, the Supreme Court of Victoria has redesigned the courtroom with digitisation at its core to deliver a more efficient and accessible justice system. By mid 2021, all courtrooms and mediation rooms will be renewed to support the increasingly digital nature of matters heard at the Supreme Court.
Built upon entirely new physical and technological infrastructure in a scalable environment, each courtroom will have ultra-high definition video-conferencing capability, upgraded evidence presentation system, livestream and webcast capability, as well as amplified acoustics.
Attend this interactive session for a demonstration of the technical capability of the eCourt where you will:

  • learn about the benefits and application of the technology in the role of Digital Litigation,
  • learn about the distinction between eCourt and eTrial,
  • see demonstrations of the new technology at the Bar Table and in witness box capability, and
  • be able to test any capability with your own devices.
