Defamation Reform in 2020

In February 2019 the Council of Attorneys-General established a Defamation Working Party to update the national defamation laws. A robust national consultation process took place throughout 2019 and on 29 November 2019, the Council released draft amendments for the proposed reforms. Some of the proposed reforms are dramatic and many are significant.

This seminar is tailored for those who practise in defamation and media law.  Leaders of the Defamation Bar will speak about the current proposals and what might be expected in 2020.
