This seminar demonstrates simple, powerful secrets and strategies of body language and voice to empower barristers in consultative and advocacy areas to reach their peak effectiveness. This is a practical and interactive session which aims to equip them with tools for dealing with performance nerves and creating a strong courtroom presence.

Richard is a master voice and presentation coach delivering training on The Reader’s Course since 2012, and also at Lander and Rogers, Freehills, Maddocks, Victoria Legal Aid, and The NSW Bar Assoc. His former life as a theatre director gives him expertise in performance coaching, and also teaching storytelling methodology. At Monash University he won the VC’s award for excellence in teaching. His book Raise Your Voice is in the Vic Bar library.
Mary is a mediator, facilitator and executive coach. She is certified in a number of diagnostics including iEQ9, Leadership Circle Profile, GLWS, MBTI Step I and II. She supports her clients while they strategically navigate difficulty, complex and challenging situations, emotional triggers, change and growth. Her professional life is nourished by her decades' long meditation practice and study of Buddhist philosophy.
