Character matters in the AAT – insights with Practice Leader Senior Member Theodore Tavoularis

15Sep2021

Senior Member Theodore Tavoularis is the Practice Leader of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal’s character-based visa cancellation and refusal caseload, as well as the Practice Leader of the Citizenship caseload. He worked for 25 years in private practice before his appointment to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.

This information session provides an invaluable opportunity for attendees to gain insight into this important and fascinating jurisdiction from the Practice Leader of the jurisdiction, including:

  • how the national caseload is overseen;
  • dealing with the nuances of expedited and complex matters;
  • advice on advocacy that assists the Tribunal’s decision-making process, and
  • the Senior Member’s experiences in the jurisdiction.

This session is open to all persons but will be of particular interest to participants in the AAT Assistance Scheme training session series.
