Uthra accepts briefs to appear and to advise in criminal, regulatory and public law matters.
Uthra comes to the Bar with diverse legal experience. She commenced her career as a solicitor at Middletons (now K+L Gates), and gained experience in insolvency, inquests and general commercial litigation matters.
Subsequently, she was Associate to his Honour Judge Howard AM QC in the Criminal Division of the County Court. She was also a legal researcher at the Court.
Uthra has lectured and tutored in Criminal Law and Torts, and tutored in Administrative Law and Statutory Interpretation at Monash University over the past several years.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Laws with honours from the University of Melbourne, and a Master of Laws from Monash University.
Uthra read with Sarah Keating and her senior mentor is Fiona McLeod AO SC.
