James practices principally in the areas of employment law and common law but is also available to accept briefs in other areas including criminal law and disciplinary proceedings.
James is a skilled advocate with diverse experience in the law.
Before coming to the bar, James practiced as a lawyer in private practice and spent several years working for a large registered organisation where he gained experience in oral and written advocacy in various forums. Prior to this he worked as a judge’s associate at the County Court of Victoria, where he gained considerable experience in both the criminal and common law divisions of the court.
James is available to appear and advise in matters at the Fair Work Commission and Federal Courts, specifically; unfair dismissal, general protections and contravention proceedings as well as matters in State Courts and Tribunals.
