Georgia was admitted to practice in the Northern Territory in 1997, and was called to the bar in May 2005. Prior to going to the bar she worked for 4 years as a Crown Prosecutor for the NT Director of Public Prosecutions, which included initiating the DPP's practice pursuant to the (then) newly enacted Criminal Property Forfeiture Act (NT). She also has extensive experience in criminal trial work, especially doing jury trials for the DPP, and mentoring junior Prosecutors. Georgia has also represented the AHPRA in a number of complicated tribunal and Supreme Court hearings, and has also acted as counsel-assisting in a variety of statutory-based inquiries, as well as represented clients' interests in Royal Commissions.
Georgia has extensive experience in teaching, including as a lecturer at Charles Darwin University in subjects such as Criminal Law, Evidence, Advocacy and Business Law. She has also lectured for many years at the NT Police Training College on the Detectives Training Course, and other courses from time to time.
