Kay practises in commercial law, with a particular focus on contract disputes, company law (including shareholder disputes, shareholder oppression and director's duties), equity and trusts.
Kay regularly advises taxpayers on issues of revenue law and objection and review rights. Her experience includes topics such as trusts, duty, consideration and charities.
Before coming to the Bar, Kay was a Senior Solicitor at the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office (VGSO) in the government and public law branch, specialising in regulatory, administrative and disciplinary law, and commissions and inquiries.
Kay has also worked at the State Revenue Office where she conducted civil litigation from tribunal to appellate level.
Kay holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Bachelor of Arts from Monash University.
