Kirsti has a general practice, specialising in wills and estates, trusts, equity and testators family maintenance. In particular, she has extensive experience in complex probate matters including informal wills, contested wills, and limited grants including letters of administration de bonis non and durante minore aetate. Kirsti has been appointed by the Supreme Court as contradictor in probate and estates matters. Her practice also includes property matters and applications to the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Kirsti was senior associate to the Honourable Justice McMillan at the Supreme Court of Victoria. As an associate, Kirsti assisted her Honour in a wide range complex proceedings in the Trusts, Equity and Probate List and Testators Family Maintenance List. Kirsti also provided support on urgent probate applications, including limited grants.
Before coming to the law, Kirsti worked in a variety of policy development and ministerial and parliamentary support roles in the New South Wales and Victorian Governments. These portfolios included transport, corrections, health and human services, and workplace safety.
Kirsti completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Melbourne in 2015. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), majoring in English Literature and Philosophy from La Trobe University.
