BAR PRACTICE
Gorjan Nikolovski practices in Criminal and Administrative Law, Inquests and Inquiries, and is familiar with all aspects of the criminal process, including in both summary and indictable matters. Gorjan accepts briefs in these areas, including:
- Contested Bail Applications;
- Contested Hearings, both in Criminal and Intervention Order matters;
- Contested Committal Hearings;
- Trials,
- Plea Hearings;
- Breach proceedings;
- Appeals against both sentence and conviction, and sentence alone.
BACKGROUND
Prior to coming to the Bar, Gorjan worked for Dribbin and Brown Criminal Defence Lawyers as instructing solicitor in criminal trials for persons charged with serious indictable offences. He also regularly advised clients on criminal and family matters at Fitzroy Legal Service, and was research assistant to Peter Morrissey SC.
LANGUAGES
Gorjan is a fluent speaker in the languages of Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian.

SINCE COMING TO THE BAR
Gorjan regularly appears in the County, Magistrates' and Children's Courts in relation to Criminal and Intervention Order matters. He has also appeared in the Victorian Court of Appeal.
He has a special interest in human rights and social justice.
Gorjan holds an Indictable Crime Certificate.
Gorjan read with Megan Tittensor. His senior mentor was Peter Morrissey SC.
