With over 35 years experience as a lawyer, including over 33 years experience at the Victorian Bar, Sean Cash practises across the Coronial, Disciplinary, Criminal and Common Law jurisdictions.
Sean Cash routinely represents Health Practitioners, Legal Practitioners and other professionals in disciplinary proceedings, including at VCAT. On behalf of Health Practitioners in particular, he generates written submissions and/or appears regularly at mediations, Immediate Action Committee Hearings, Inquests, Medicare Australia PSR (Professional Standards Review) hearings, proceedings prosecuted by the Department of Health & Human Services, Victoria Police and/or the Department of Public Prosecutions (i.e. criminal prosecutions).
Somewhat uniquely, Sean Cash brings to these areas of practice the skills developed originally over the course of a substantial criminal law trial practice wherein he acted both for the Prosecution and Defense. Nowadays, his criminal practice largely comprises acting for professionals faced with allegations which arise out of the practise of their profession.
Sean Cash has had 9 readers: Haley Bate, Phil Brown, Daniel Cash, Adam Coote, Samantha Dixon, Jason Harkess, Andrew Imrie, Diana Price and Vitas Valsinavicius. [ Please note that Sean Cash does not take any more readers ]
Sean formerly taught advocacy with the Australian Advocacy Institute and the Victorian Bar Readers group.
