Laurence practises in a broad range of matters across family law and common law.
He accepts briefs to advise on and appear in all areas of family law and related jurisdictions (including intervention order matters) in local, regional and interstate courts. Immediately prior to coming to the Bar, Laurence worked as a solicitor in a boutique family law firm in Brisbane, Queensland where he acted for clients in a variety of matters, including property settlement, spousal maintenance, parenting, child support and cases involving allegations of family violence and/or child abuse.
In addition to his family law practice, his common law civil litigation practice covers a broad range of areas within personal injury law, including but not limited to:
- Workers’ compensation;
- Motor vehicle & transport accidents;
- Public liability; and
- Medical negligence.
Laurence graduated with first class honours in his Bachelor of Laws degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
He is reading with Dan Sweeney and his senior mentor is Geoffrey Dickson QC.
