David has a broad practice, focusing on commercial and public law. David also accepts briefs in criminal and insurance law matters.
Before coming to the Victorian Bar, David was a senior investigator at the Victorian Ombudsman and NSW Ombudsman. His high-profile investigations included Operation Prospect (NSW), the Labor “redshirts” matter, public interest disclosures concerning local Councils, and Operation Watts, a joint investigation with the Independent Broad-Based Anti-Corruption Commission. He has extensive experience in government investigation and inquiries.
David holds a Juris Doctor (Master of Laws) from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Criminology from the University of Melbourne.
David read with Justin Wheelahan and his senior mentor was His Honour Peter Rozen QC.
