A barrister's office is referred to as Chambers. The Victorian Bar's central administration is located in the Owen Dixon Chambers with many other sets of Chambers in the surrounding vicinity.
The Victorian Bar operates several sets of chambers through Barristers' Chambers Limited (BCL), a wholly-owned service company of the Victorian Bar.
Established in 1959, BCL's purpose is to be the home of the Bar, open to all. BCL provides barristers the opportunity to secure a variety of chambers across 80 floors in seven buildings.
