Vale – Nicholas Hanos

Nick practised as a solicitor in general practice for nine years before signing the Bar Roll on 24 November 1988 and he read with Damian M Austin.

As counsel, Nick developed a broad practice in the Criminal, Commercial and Family law jurisdictions. Courage and courtesy were inseparable elements to Nick’s advocacy. Further, he showed great empathy and respect to those whom he served as counsel. Above all, he spoke plainly, sincerely and with economy. Those traits served him well at the Bar and in life generally.

A man at ease with himself and with those around him, Nick was well regarded by his peers.

Nick was immensely devoted to his family; his wife Jan and their three children Laura, Paul and Amelia.

An open to all Funeral for Nick Hanos will be held at Tobin Brothers, 816 Doncaster Rd, Doncaster VIC 3108 on Friday 1 July 2022 at 10:00am.
