Teaching team includes Victorian Bar members at the Appellate Advocacy Skills Workshop in Vanuatu

From 12 to 14 October 2020, the International Advocacy Training Committee (IATC) ran a three-day Appellate Advocacy Skills Workshop in Vanuatu, developed through the cooperation of the Victorian Bar, Office of the Public Prosecutor, Public Solicitors Office, State Law Office and the Australian aid-funded Vanuatu Australia Policing and Justice Program.

Thirty-two participants attended the workshop, which took place at the University of the South Pacific Moot Court via multiple teleconferencing facilities to connect teams in Victoria, New South Wales and Port Vila.

The teaching team, led by Philip Corbett QC (Chair, IATC), included Raymond Finkelstein AO QC, Remy van de Wiel QC, Sally Flynn QC, Raymond Gibson QC, Hilary Bonney, Jim Shaw, Jim Doherty, Anna Robertson, Albert Dinelli and Clare Cunliffe.
