Swearing-in and Separate Welcomes - His Honour Chief Judge John Pascoe AC, CVO & William Alstergren QC

There is to be a Ceremonial Swearing-in of the Chief Justice and Chief Judge at 11 am on Friday 20 October 2017 in Court 1, Level 21, Sydney Law Courts Building, Queen’s Square, 184 Phillip Street, Sydney – Counsel are welcome to attend and asked to Robe (without wigs).

There will be very short addresses from the Bar Table and I will speak on behalf of the Victorian Legal Profession.

THIS IS NOT THE WELCOME.  THE PROFESSION WILL EXTEND A WELCOME TO CHIEF JUDGE ALSTERGREN IN MELBOURNE ON A DAY YET TO BE FIXED – LIKELY IN A FEW WEEKS’ TIME. CHIEF JUSTICE PASCOE’S WELCOME WILL LIKELY BE IN SYDNEY.
