Obituary & Funeral Notice - Richard Cook

He was born on the 17^th September 1949.

Richard was articled at Russell Kennedy & Cook, Radcliffe & Co. (London) and admitted to practice on the 1^st April 1974.

He signed the Bar Roll on the 10^th March 1977 and read with Douglas Graham QC and Alan Archibald QC.

Richard practised in general commercial law and authored the Jacobs County Court Practice (6^th Edition), the Annotated Rules of Court 1996-2019, and many journal articles on areas including Administration and Probate law.

Richard was mentor to Paul Bravender-Coyle, Mark Purvis and Michele Nancarrow.

Richard was an active practitioner for 42 years, was well known as a fighter and took on all briefs with a strong belief in the Cab Rank Rule.

Richard is survived by his wife Juliet and his five children, Jeremy, William, Elizabeth, Alice and Annabel.
