Magistrates’ Court of Victoria
The Governor in Council, on Tuesday 31 July 2018, appointed Kieran Gilligan and Vicky Prapas Magistrates. Their Honours were sworn-in privately by Chief Justice Ferguson on Monday 6 August 2018.
Mr Gilligan was admitted to practice in 1983 and signed the Bar Roll in 1985. He has been a member of the Bar for more than 33 years, of those more than 14½ years as a Crown Prosecutor.
Ms Prapas was admitted to practice in 1991. She has been a Solicitor in the Victorian Office of Public Prosecutions for some 13 years, most recently as the Legal Practice Manager.
The Profession will extend a Welcome to Their Honours at a ceremonial sitting in Court 1 of the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, Ground Floor, 233 William Street Melbourne on:

All counsel who are able to do so are asked to attend. Counsel are not required to robe in the Magistrates’ Court.
