Leadership at the Bar

14Oct2021

For the first time, the Victorian Bar presents a 2-part seminar dedicated to the leadership role played by senior members of the Bar. It is open to silks and senior junior counsel with 10 or more years of seniority only.

Part 1 will explore the ways in which the Bar relies on its senior members to contribute and to lead. It will address sexual harassment, and the role of senior members of the Bar in preventing or responding to it.

Immediately following, Part 2 will address the Courts’ expectations of senior members of the Bar whilst appearing and in their dealings with the Court and other barristers. It will also consider the important role and responsibility of senior members of the Bar in leading junior counsel, inside and outside the Courtroom and across different practice areas.

Completion of Part 1 of this CPD will be a pre-requisite for those who intend to apply for silk in 2022.

This will be the only time these will be held for this year, and it will not be recorded.

Speakers Part 1:
