REGISTRATION ESSENTIAL. Please email aafs.vicchapter@gmail.com

The accurate communication of expert opinions to stakeholders is vital in forensic science. However, there is not yet clear consensus on how to optimally communicate scientific findings to ensure that lay decision makers can appropriately utilise the information without over- or under-weighting the evidence.

This presentation will discuss the impact of including error rate and cognitive factor information on investigators and legal stakeholders will be covered, in light of emerging information surrounding the validity and reliability of various forensic science disciplines.

Please note that this seminar will not be recorded, and is attendance only.
